Ozoklenz recognised by Mitie for sustainable cleaning at Heathrow Airport

We’re proud to share a major milestone for Ozoklenz: Mitie Group has highlighted our chemical-free cleaning solution in their 2025 ESG report, recognising its role in driving sustainable cleaning practices at Heathrow Airport.

What is Ozoklenz?

Ozoklenz is a brand of Summit Hygiene, which specialises in chemical-free cleaning systems that will replace up to 90% of cleaning chemicals using aqueous ozone technology.

How it works

The Ozoklenz chemical machines create a powerful solution called aqueous ozone, which will clean, sanitise, disinfect & deodorise. 

The unit copies what happens in nature. Inside the unit, it imitates lightning, and that’s what creates the very fresh smell in the Ozoklenz product. It’s similar to the smell you get after a thunderstorm. 

When the unit imitates lightning with oxygen, it creates ozone gas. This gas is then infused into the mains water, creating aqueous ozone, a safe and highly effective cleaner often referred to as “nature’s bleach.” Simply dispense it into your cleaning equipment and go, cleaning has never been safer or more sustainable.

Our partnership with Mitie at Heathrow

Following a successful trial at Terminal 4, Heathrow has rolled out Ozoklenz across the terminal, with orders now in place for a full airport-wide installation. The projected annual savings include:

▪️ 561 plastic 5-litre bottles – around 80 kg of plastic

▪️ 146 kg of CO₂ emissions

▪️ Most daytime cleaning completed without traditional chemicals
